Mission
Brilla Public Charter Schools, K-8 schools in the classical tradition, help students to grow socially, intellectually, and physically into young men and women of good character and spirit and to be prepared for excellence in high school, college, and beyond.

Classical
Our classical, liberal arts curriculum will expose your children to truth, beauty, and goodness, inspiring them to
want to lead virtuous lives. Our Paideia approach to teaching—intellectual engagement through intentional questioning in a Socratic style—ensures content sticks and skills are developed. A Brilla education equips young people to succeed, no matter the career they choose.
Character-Rich
We believe good character makes for a meaningful life and produces lasting happiness. As a result, the development of moral virtue is integrated into every aspect of the Brilla day. Your child will grow in courage, justice, wisdom and self-control, along with our many sub-virtues.
Personalized
Teacher-led instruction is combined with blended learning technology to support personalized growth driven by data. Your child will learn with his entire class, in small groups and as an individual (with support) using technology that adapts to progress, ensuring every child is being met where they are to reach their infinite potential.

We honor you, parents, as the first educators of your children. We partner with caregivers by frequently engaging through meaningful and consistent two-way communication, family workshops, and opportunities for authentic participation and collaboration.
High-Performing
Our scholars have outperformed their peers locally, at a district-level and state-wide, and have gone on to attend top high schools (e.g. including Stuyvesant High, Fordham Preparatory, and Regis High) within the city, state and nationally. In just 2 years, our graduates have earned more than $1,000,000 in scholarships and financial aid to attend the high schools of their choice.

Brilla students get all the "extras!" Scholars develop talents, deepen character, gain leadership capacities, and improve fitness through P.E., visual arts, martial arts, music education and dance, along with access to our optional after-school program.
